Gianni Infantino was re-elected this Thursday as FIFA president, a position he has held since 2016, without opposition and by acclamation, at the 73rd FIFA Congress in Kigali.

The 52-year-old re-elected holder was chosen by the 211 federations that are part of FIFA and could remain until 2031 because his first term was three years and he is classified as “incomplete”.

In his presentation, he showed the economic achievements achieved in his administration with an increase of 18% in income and 45% in reserves in the 2019-22 period.

Infantino’s new challenge is to prepare for the next Soccer World Cup to be held in Concacaf, specifically in Mexico, the United States and Canada.
