Alpha Karina Arrué, the first Salvadoran to summit Mount Everest, was rescued alive after being trapped on the highest mountain in North America.

After four days of searching, after being held incommunicado on Mount Denali in Alaska, Alpha Karina was found alive.

Preliminary information indicates that the mountaineer was being driven to the foot of Mount Denali.

Subsequently, the Salvadoran mountaineer will be transferred to Los Angeles for a review of her health condition, after four days trapped by a snow storm.
