The president of FC Barcelona, ​​Joan Laporta, acknowledged that there was a formal meeting with Jorge Messi, father of former Blaugrana player Leo Messi, in which they spoke of the future tribute that the entity wants to do to the ’10’, now at Paris Saint-Germain .

«We have seen each other with Messi’s father, yes. We talked about the situation, I congratulated him on Argentina’s victory and we talked about Barça’s tribute to Leo,” Laporta acknowledged.

The Blaugrana president, as on previous occasions, did not want to talk about whether it is possible for Messi to become a Barça player again.

“I don’t want to talk about Messi or the question of a possible return, because he is playing for PSG,” he said.

Of course, asked if this possible tribute could serve as financing for that possible return to the club, he added: “Leo’s thing is not about money, we are talking about a tribute.”
