Barcelona took a very valuable victory in El Clásico in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals by 0-1. The culés took victory in a gray match by both teams that was only decided with Militao’s own goal in the first half.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men were a ‘I want and I can’t’ during the 90 minutes, and practically at no time did they find a way to hurt Barça.
They completely monopolized possession, but Barça became strong at the back and knew how to stop the meringues. Real Madrid tried until the end, but they were left without a prize and the tie will go to the Catalans at the Camp Nou.
The rematch to define the finalist of the Copa del Rey 2022/23 will only be played on April 5 at the Spotify Camp Nou. The initial whistle will be given at 2:00 pm (El Salvador time).
