After 50 years on stage, the rock band Aerosmith announced on Monday that they will go on hiatus.

The band made the announcement with a press release posted on their social media profiles.

“It’s not goodbye, it’s a tranquilizer! Get ready and walk like this, you’re going to have the best show of our lives,” reads part of the band’s joint statement.

For their farewell, Aerosmith has scheduled a tour with 40 dates in the United States, in conjunction with the group The Black Crowes.
