The company that owns the sports rights of FAS announced that it has already chosen the new technical director of the tigrillo team.
The one chosen to replace Professor Marenco is Raúl Arias, who according to the company AGM Sports has experience directing Mexican, Peruvian and Guatemalan soccer.
In Mexico, Arias would have directed Necaxa, San Luis and Guadalajara; in Peru he was in charge of the Cienciano and in Guatemala he led the Achuapa.
The new FAS coach was CONCACAF champion with Necaxa, in 1999, among other local titles in Mexico.
In a statement, FAS highlights that “Arias is the only coach who has managed to beat Real Madrid in an official game during the Club World Cup.”
