Olympic champion Yulimar Rojas was full of praise for El Salvador and the track where she competed after making her big debut at the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador 2023.
Rojas assured that he was pleased to see how the Jorge ‘Mágico’ González Stadium turned out after the renovations, describing the track of the sports building as ‘wonderful’.
“It’s a spectacle to see ‘Mágico’ González on a good footing and above all recovered, and the track is wonderful. If it were up to me, he would come back to compete, ”said the Venezuelan Olympic and world triple jump champion.
Likewise, Rojas had nice words for the public, which has behaved up to the mark during all the games. “All this beautiful audience. This wonderful stadium that has been a spectacle,” he added.
After just his first participation, Rojas met expectations and even exceeded them, as he began his participation with a mark of 15.16 m, a triple jump that qualified him for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, broke the record for the Central American Games and the Caribbean and established the best world record so far this year.
