The 8 clubs that will play the Champions League quarterfinals were defined this Wednesday and the pairings will be known on Friday, when the draw is held at the House of European Soccer in Nyon, Switzerland.
Real Madrid, after leaving Liverpool; and Napoli, who beat Frankfurt, were the last to qualify for the next knockout round, which is played back and forth.
The classified clubs are Milan, Bayern, Benfica, Chelsea, Inter, Manchester City, Napoli and Real Madrid, current European champion.
A total of three draws will be made on Friday, the quarterfinal, the semifinal, in which the quarterfinal pairings are determined, and the one that dictates which team will play as “home” in the final for administrative reasons.
The first legs will take place on Tuesday, April 11 and Wednesday, April 12, and the second legs on April 18 and 19. The semifinals will be on May 9/10 and May 16/17, and the final on Saturday June 10.
