The leadership of Club Deportivo Águila confirmed to Diario El Salvador that he will stop playing at home in San Miguel and that his new home will be San Salvador for Opening 2023.

After the investment made by the feathered club to play at night, in July 2022, during a friendly between Águila against Dragón, a light tower fell from the Juan Francisco Barraza stadium. This led to the lighting project being lost.

In the last championship, the feathered fans, for the most part, were absent from Barraza, because the Migueleño team had to reschedule their daytime games and that led the leadership to make the decision to change the field for this tournament.

For this reason, Águila would come to play at home for the Copa Centroamericana and Apertura 2023 at a venue in San Salvador, which could be the Cuscatlán or Jorge Mágico González stadium.
