A young soccer player who was a member of the Thunder team, from the Costa Rican third division, died in a shootout on Saturday night.
It was the same team where soccer player Kendall Rivas Munguía, 24, was a member, who confirmed the death.
Rivas Munguía received several bullet wounds in the back, reported the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ), that is, the Costa Rican prosecutor’s office.
The deadly shooting occurred in Los Cuadros de Purral, seventh district of the canton of Goicoechea, province of San José, Costa Rica.
The Thunder Soccer Academy, where the player was a member, published a death notice on his Instagram profile, lamenting the death of the young man.
